Mask Nose Wire Replacement

About a month into my mask making, I realized I made a error in the design.
I forgot to leave a opening for the nose wire!

*I have since updated my mask design so the wire can be removed for washing
or if it breaks from constant wear and or folding.*

So for those of you that ordered and received hand made masks from me from April 8th, 2020 to April 28th, 2020...then this tutorial is for you.

At the bottom of this post you will find how to replace the wire on all masks.

To make it so you can remove the wire easily on your mask you will just need
a seam ripper and small scissors.

Flip your mask over and carefully begin pulling out either the left or right end stitch
with your seam ripper.
When you have pulled as much as you can, flip the mask over and begin on the other side.
By now the threads will start pulling out.
Flip back and forth, working at the threads, pulling with your fingers until all gone.

Scrunch up the fabric your fingers and push the wire through.
If your wire has broken inside your mask, carefully guide it along
so it doesn't poke through the fabric.

Replacement wire can be found in any local hardware store.
Aluminum wire bends easily and won't rust.

I'm happy to help!
