7 (weird) things that I Love
- Bacon. I especially love it cold and crunchy.
- I love to peel dried glue from my hands.
- That I believe any mistake or flaw in my art just adds character.
- The swish swish sound of my thighs rubbing together when I wear courdiroy pants.
- Going potty by myself.
- Listening to Dyllan crack him self up
- People watching.
I will pass the love for weirdness on to: Michelle Geller

Rainy Day"Rocket" Craft
~ So here are the basic materials: 1/2 a cardboard tube from wrapping paper, scrapbook paper, a cone from our snow cone machine and some craft foam.
~ We mostly used a circle punch to get the circle shapes, but I also had Dyllan help me with the rest. ( he just loves to cut paper!)
I covered the cone in plain paper and then adhered the punched out shapes to the tube with packaging tape. I stuffed a bunch of tissue paper down the length of the tube and then rounded it at the top. I put alot of glue on that and put the cone on top, holding for about a minute till it was stuck enough to move onto the next step.
Dyllan helped me punch out the stars from a prismatic self adhesive sheet. We put those stars on the rocket top and put some packaging tape over them for good measure.
~ I got these punch out letters from walmart! We used a "D" for Dyllan.
I cut a slit in at the bottom of the rocket and put in a piece of the craft foam, then added iridescent cellophane for the "flames"!

Spring is Here - Tags!
.....I made some tags for a swap through my Fiskateer group. BTW if you are not a Fiskateer yet, why not? There are a lot of "perks" to being a Fiskateer, plus you get to meet some amazing people that share your passion!
Here are the "wee" little banners I glitterized for the tag, which by the way was up to me for the theme. I also used a new stamp set I got at the scrapbook expo!
Grow a Garden by Basic grey, same booth where I got the new rub-on tool too!
I used some vintage ribbon I found at the Antique flea market plus lots of glitter!
~ Here is the finished tag! Of course I kept one for me! I think it's just the cutest!

Oh My!
~ This is just the Soundtrack which came with lyrics, yea! The movie is released next month, can't wait!
~ Had a hard time finding this, worth the wait!
~ I now have a space in my studio dedicated to Sandra's books, This one is truly breathtaking, I can't wait to try each and every technique!
You may think you know me...
~I made this sun during a weekend stay at my Mom's in Borrego. While dating Brian. First I sketched it, then I painted it. It is still on the wall of our living room.
********************
~Here is my version of "Poppy Fields" That I completed as a extra curriculem course in High School. I enjoyed art so much that in Senior Year, My Art teacher let me add on a extra class, make up my to do list and I worked in the back room while he taught up front. I was graded as normal and graduated my Senior year with the Poseidon award with is like a Oscar! It was very exciting because I was nominated the previous two years . I got it for Arts and Ceramics.
~ In Junior Colleage I took life drawing, twice. I still don't have it quite down with drawing people. I especially did not like drawing a particular older male model who seemed to leer at us girls in the class. when I find sketches I did of him, I turn them face down but can't throw them away because they are still a part of me.
For a while, in High School I became "Obsessed" with Harris. I studied everything he did. Color is my strong part in art, so naturally, I took to his style
******************
~In Life Drawing, we were sometimes asked to do "homework" over the weekend. We had to choose from a magazine. I chose this image of William S. Burroughs because the original print had alot of shadows that fit perfect with his coruppted personality. I also sketched him upside down. This ,I find helps me in not seeing it as a person, but instead a bunch of lines and shapes.

~ Another drawing for the school newspaper, "Carnation"
I used to doodle alot! Those are yet to share with you! My first Rapidograph pen introduced me to a world I never knew existed before ball point pens! When my sister and I used to ride the train from San Juan Capistrano to visit our Dad in San Diejo, I'd pass my pieces around the train car to complete strangers and ask them to jot down one word first impressions on the back. I still have these pieces. It 's fun to look back in time and read what people saw in my art!
*****************
On the back card board of a giant art pad, I attempted to paint my Mom from memory. It's not really her, but I still like how it turned out!
*****************
~ So back to Art class. I tended to make friends first with guys in the class and then developed crushes later. Go figure, maybe I was too "real". One of my friends Anthony Winn was developing his style for his dream to work for Marvel comics. Already having a love for the "Wolverine", sketched along side of him, barely matching his apparent talent. I have a print from him of a mermaid and a merman that I treasure dearly in my studio.
I really liked and still do, drawing comic book faces, especially the eyes. I always believed that "eyes were the window to the soul" ~
**************
~ Just a practice sketch of "still life" I try to still do this often to keep me in "check"
*************
~When I was in my early 20', I'd sketch people souls. This was of a friend who is not really evil, but his energy gave off a devilish vibe at the moment!
*
Well that's all for now... I'll show more to come and also new~ old pieces I'm working on!

Heart Art Swap
Heart Art Swap for this February. It was a 3 for 3 swap. I made 1 extra for me cause I liked how well my idea came out!
~ I altered a empty Altoids tin to make this one of a kind art.
~The charms hanging from the tin are made from shrink plastic. I really love how they came out!
Here they are wrapped up in tussie mussie cones and extra goodies!
I used Glimmer Mist on the cones.
The one I kept one for self was #9 (not shown)
Here is the inside. I made the vintage little girl 'pop' out , added lots of glitter glitz and sealed it all with diamond glaze, inside and out.
*****************************************
~ The fudge and following goodies are from Stacy Harris of Creative Muse
**************************************************
~ The chocolate and vintage clip art are from Melissa
*****************************************************
~ LOVE this! It's a lavender filled sachet from Becky of Emily and Edward!
Reminds me of my Mom's drawers.
~Also received some cards from her shop, a decorative vintage key ornament, a heart pin and a matching cloth bag!
**************************************************
~ I really, really, really love this cuff! I've always wanted one and it's the icing on the cake of goodies to receive just in time for my Birthday! Only it came with no name and I don't know who to thank!
