~ I hope you all have safe and happy plans for the 4th!
Here at home, we are going to my in-laws on Friday from 11am to 1pm for swimming and lunch. Then on to home for a rest before we head off at 4pm to a friends for back yard play, Bbq and fire works!
I'm taking a super yummy appetizer for my friends house and it's so easy!
Here's the recipe if you are lacking on idea's for what to bring to your festive events!
Bacon Wrapped Lit'l Smokies
You will need:
1 pack. of smokies,
1 pack. Of bacon
1/2 cup of brown sugar.
Cut bacon slices in half. Wrap each smokie with bacon and put a tooth pick through each to hold the bacon on. Place all bacon wrapped smokies in a baking dish. Sprinkle with brown sugar.
Heat for 45 minutes in a 350 degree F oven.
Serve on a platter or remove toothpick and put in a crock pot to keep them warm as guests munch along.
This can also be prepared the night before minus the sugar and just pop it in the oven before going to your outing!

Now here's something I gave to my Dad a couple weeks ago when Dyllan I went down for a visit.
He and my Step Mom live in Chula Vista, Ca which is like 3 exits from the border of Tijuana.
They have one of those really nice RV's which they use for the Shriner s club outings and just for traveling to visit family every where. But gas is really expensive so they don't go as often as they used too. For a Father's Day gift, I made my Dad a Journal to be used in his RV/Motor Home to jot down notes, and I made pockets to stash stubs and even brochures. I made it all using my bind it all.
~ I used assorted letter rub-on's for the cover.
~ I have some really cute pictures of Dyllan swimming at my Dad's, but I'm going to save those for scrapbooking to which I need to start putting together my LO kits soon for my Scrapbook Retreat coming up in September! Is anyone else going to this retreat?
~ Well, that's all for now! see you next week!
