This is what I heard from the back seat as I was driving our almost 5 year old to pre-school.
I had not had my first cup of coffee yet and when he asked this very important question,
(like my life flashing before my eyes) I got some quick images of anything wind, and then said I'd tell him later...
So please do share with me what you told your kids when they asked this same question
(which I sure they have) because I can use all the help I can get!
Thanks!
BTW...happy Monday
:0)
For those questions, I would TOTALLY go into it, I mean IN DETAIL!
ReplyDeleteThe Earth rotates...getting into how north & south of the equator it goes in a different direction, and on and on.
When my kid asked, I answered IN FULL!
Mostly that was for the 'why' type of questions, you know "but WHY mommy?' and why and why and why.
Of course, we probably had the shortest 'why' phase in history... :)
Good Luck with Dyllan!

Um, wow.
ReplyDeleteI didn't know what makes the wind either. I suppose the above commentator has a point... rotation of the earth... that it all has to do with big bang, probably, but still... It's easy to get sleepless thinking about the universe!
I was not asked that one, but "How do they make rainbows?" my oldest daughter was very goo at asking "how" questions and not whys.
ReplyDeleteThat question is waaaay easier to answer than one that is sure to come up: "Mom where do babies come from."
ReplyDeleteGood luck!!
:)
