I chose to make mine into a adorable Kewpie Faerie House.
(you all know I love Faeries!)
The walls of the house come in 3 pieces
so I decided to just leave the front out
and cut the 3rd down to make the cute glittery white fence all around!

I used the prettiest pink glitter
you have ever seen on the top and
then added some moss, flowers, some vintage toadstools
and a Beautiful Birds Nest.
I painted some large wooden beads green and glued them on the bottom.
I collect Kewpie dolls. From tiny to large doll sized.
And right away, I knew she would be perfect in here!

I love it. I used to have some Kewpie dolls, but they disappeared once I left my parents'. This project brings back memories.
ReplyDeleteQuite an unexpected mix of materials, but it works ties in together beautifully! It's so whimsical and reminds me of a kitchier Mackenzie Childs with a retro spin. The ball feet definitely take it to a whole other level. This would be so cute in a little girls room and would even make a great toy for a kid to play with! You could do a whole town!
ReplyDeletekewpie Dolls are the greatest. I had a few when I was a kid. Love the textures you used. I would love to have this one myself.
ReplyDeleteA clever, creative way to use a "favorite" thing Michelle!
ReplyDeleteVery Nice! I love the mushrooms and the kewpie reminds me of my grandmother-she loved them!
ReplyDeleteAny chance to use pretty pink glitter is a good one!
ReplyDeleteToo cute, Michelle. I love the pink and white on it.
ReplyDeletei love it!!!!!!!
