So on to the giveaway....My scrapbook /altered art group is having a local Craft & Hobby garage sale at my place at the end of June. And since then, I've been filling up my garage with things to sell!
And as you can see I have a lot of stuff!So for my giveaway...as I sort, I will fill a pretty good sized box (12X9 4"deep) with "studio de-stash".

i found that tall clear jars work best for buttons and ribbon and pencil cases (hard plastic ones) work great for floss! still don't have the best solution for my paper though LOL :D
ReplyDeleteOh how fun! I love using basket and chest for storage. Old jars for buttons and embellishment. Old suitcases for vintage linens and such. And of course lots and lots of shelves..

ReplyDeleteWow- you do have a lot of stuff! I also like mason jars or old glass milk bottles for buttons and stones, compartment plastic boxes for beads, and colorful photo boxes from Michaels for most of my other stuff. I like to sort and label my stuff :)
ReplyDeleteI am re-doing my space right now and I just bought one of those paper racks that stores use as fixtures. Also, I am going to put up a wood shelf above my crop table since I live in such a small place. Good luck on organizing!

This is a beyond awesome giveaway! :) I have a work area to clean out myself tonight. I'll be using lots of jars and baskets too. I have a bunch of old style clothespins I will be wrapping ribbon around and a big jar to put them in for something nice to look at. Good luck with your sorting! ~Lanie

I also use a lot of mason jars. I like to use shoe box sized plastic totes as well.

wow!!!! how fun! i am forever changing up my storage ideas...seriously. i use mason jars for buttons and brads, and right now a lot of drawers for everything else. not the best, but just waiting for a nice drive to IKEA to get what i really want!

Oh, Michelle, what a great giveaway! I use plastic drawers or various sizes and clear plastic boxes for stuff on the shelves. Lots of labels!!
ReplyDeleteI use a combination of solid metal and metal wire shelving, backets, and shelf organizers to get the most out of my 10 x 20 space. For small items, I use spice jars and some IKEA jars my assistant gifted me with. Also, ANY vintage jar is fair game to hold rocks, scrabble tiles, game pieces, and whatever else crosses my mind.

I hoard a lot of ribbon too - so using old clothes airers and an old wooden play pen, taken apart pieces...they are hung on the wall and boy do they give a beautiful display of colour and texture!!

I like the small plastic or metal storage units with the tiny drawers for small images buttons, letters etc. I LOVE the 4 unit open topped tackle boxes from walmart, they have a carry handle, ans then you can stand them on their side when not being carried and each unit pulls out like a drawer, and each unit is one of those compartment-ed containers they sell in the bead isles at mike's etc.

I would love to be in your garage sale. I'm in the same boat, I have tonnes of supplies and running out of room. I also have my annual garage sale. I keep my unmounted on a photo binders (4x6); I use tackle box for my charms, punch outs and buttons. My magazines are stored in binders with the plastic inserts or in the magazine boxes.
