Beachy Decor with DCC and Gwen Studios

 Hi Everyone! 
I am excited to share with you a fun project I made using ribbon and trim from Gwen Studios! 

Gwen Studio's is a fairly new company to the craft industry and I couldn't have been any more happier to join in on this amazing blog hop! Check out (below)  the scrumptious assortment of ribbons and trims I was sent!

 Inspiration overload!

I settled on making a beachy wall hanging to display some of my favorite sea treasures. 

Supply List: 

• Gwen Studio's Pom Pom
• Gwen Studios Burlap Ribbon, Natural Brown Plaid
• Gwen Studios Burlap Ribbon, Mint Green Plaid
• Drift wood
• Thread
• String
• Wire wrapped sea treasures
• Beads and charms

Start by using the string to attach the pom pom trim to your drift wood at both ends. 

Then cut 12" lengths of the burlap ribbon.  Curl the ends of one piece and stich with the thread as shown above.  Then add a colorful bead. 

This makes for a clever way of attaching the ribbon to the drift wood. 

Find a needle that will easily thread the string through your choice of sea treasures. 

Hand tie knots at intervals to keep the beads, charms and other treasures in place. 

Attach your 'strung' treasures to the drift wood, in between the burlap ribbon. 

I already have tons more idea's in the works for 'Beachy'  projects featuring Gwen Studios ribbons and trims. Hmmmmm...I'm thinking of hair clips, a coastal wreath, beach bags, seashell ornaments....
