Celebrating Grads with Deflecto!
One more month and Dyllan graduates from 5th grade! Where did the time go? Seems like yesterday he was just starting Kindergarten! I wanted to create something special for him to remember how far he has come.
I used this 7"x5" Curved Sign Holder by Deflecto. The sleek curved design holds the frame up easily. Little magnets inside the corners makes it easy to customize the inside.
I used a white Chalk Marker to personalize some black cardstock.
Then I added dimensional to the outside of the frame!
You can find Deflecto products at most office supply stores and on Amazon.

Bling Your Ride! - License Plate Frame Tutorial
Our current license plate frame is from Disneyland. Now while I love anything Disney...we have not had family passes to the theme park for 5 years. So I've been trying to find some way to make a new license plate with out a lot of cost.
This months crafting theme is "Bling".
Perfect! Plus I pretty much had all the materials and I'm sure you do too!
You will need:
1. Trace your frame onto the back side of your glitter paper, including the holes.
2. Cut out traced design and punch holes.
3. The glue is unforgiving, so work carefully, little by little as you glue the paper to the frame.
4. Trim off any over hanging pieces.
5. Use the silver pen to cover any areas on the frame where the silver paper has not been glued to.
6. Because the glue will dry quickly with the fan blowing, work in small sections as you apply the sequins.
7. Next add your rhinestones. The E6000 changed my rhinestones after I had glued them, making them look like baked glass. Extra sparkle!
8. When all the rhinestones have been added and the glue is set, drizzle the diamond glaze directly onto the embellished frame and smear with your finger until everything is coated. I did 2 coats and then let cure over night before adding to my car.
I LOVE how it "sparkles" in the sun! So many happy colors! :)
Thanks for coming by, I hope you liked my tutorial!

Perfect! Plus I pretty much had all the materials and I'm sure you do too!
You will need:
- A plastic license plate frame. This one was less than $2 from a car part store.
- Thin silver glitter paper. - I used glitter wrapping paper from Michaels. A whole roll goes a long way.
- Assorted colorful sequins.
- Assorted Mini Dew Drops
- Silver rhinestones
- E6000
- A tool to pick up and easily place your embellishments. I used this tool, but even a white crayon will work, or a bit of braces wax on a tooth pick will do the trick.
- Diamond Glaze as a sealer.
- Scissors
- Pencil
- Standard hole punch
- A non stick craft mat
- Baby wipes for clean up
- A fan to blow away the glue fumes, or sit near a open window.
- A Silver leafing pen.
