Polka Dot Orange, & Polka Dot Black!

I just listed some new hair clips I've been working on.
The reason I'm so late in posting them here, is that when ever I show them to a friend or family, they buy them right on the spot!... Each one is so unique and a joy to make!
Would you like to win a Polka Dot Orange? I have a extra hair clip to give away! But the backing has been sewn on less than perfect if you don't mind.... Leave a comment here with your e-mail address and I'll pick someone on Sunday, March 14th!

Thanks and Good luck!

My Mardi Gras Art!

I belong to a Yahoo group called Alpha Stamps.
And they recently had a Carnival/ Masquerade Mask swap!
We had to make 3 masks using the templates provided and the mask base (not including trim) needed to be no bigger than a ATC!
It was really challenging and because I knew I would not get one of mine back...I made duplicates. One for me...one to swap...
Here they are....

For this pink one, the photo does not do justice. It's so much prettier in person! I hand colored, hand glittered and crackle glazed the whole thing.

Of these two...I sent the one on the top in for the swap and kept the one on the bottom.
I embellished them using vintage flocked wall paper and broken jewelry.

The butterfly mask is by far my favorite and I have plans to make a few for Faerie Dust Dreams soon!

It turned out just as I envisioned...& even better!

It took me 2 1/2 days to complete all 6 masks. Basically a full rainy weather, stay in our jammies weekend.

As soon as I receive my swapped masks...I'll post them for you to see!
Thanks for coming by!

Once apon a Time there was a little Girl....

...who loved doll houses. But as a older sibling, she was often told that she was too old for such things..until one day she received a book... and not just ANY book...but a Doll House book!

And inside this book was a whole world of Imagination just waiting to be invented!

To be played with to her hearts content, A little Victorian house fueling such favorite as "Anne of Green gables" Little Women", "Rebecca of Sunny Brook Farm" and many more!

Itty bitty furniture...

Holidays were even celebrated!

As you can guess...this little girl was "Me"!
I recently found my little doll house and let me tell you, it's been years since I've played with it, and although my hands are bigger and more clumsy when placing the furniture here and there...all the 'old' childhood memories can flooding back!

In the little box of doll house paper furniture were also this ornament set of vintage houses from Germany that belonged to my Mother and she had given them to me...

These paper mini houses came from Halmark many years ago...

This angel ringing a bell used to be a tree ornament and is very old...

And then some how I acquired these little wooden houses and animals.

I've always loved playing with miniatures leading me up to my love of creating Faerie Furniture!

I've been working for a big reveal in my shop...coming soon!
I hope you are excited as I am!
