In the past we used charts which were awarded with stickers and then upgraded to ink stamps, but then we have a paper trail that I can't throw away for sentiment purposes!
So I saw this idea on a fun blog called Designing Moms.
I used a white plastic coated metal rod I found in the garage and made the stripes using black electrical tape.
I'm sure you can also use colored duct tape too.
I decorated a clothespin and moved it from the bottom up 7 whites.
Everytime Dyllan shows outstanding attitude or does something with out having to be asked more than once, we move the clothespin up a white.
If he misbehaves or sasses us, it goes down to a black.
He is already half way on the stick. When he gets to the top white, he has a choice of recieving a toy of his choice with a $10 value OR he can put that $10 into his bank for another time.
So far it's working like a charm!
