Never again

~It's been a busy couple of days and I apologize for not uploading some promised pics of current projects. I will do it soon.

~ Last Sunday I hosted a crop at my house through my group West Coast Croppers.
For $5, I taught the girls how to make 4 Halloween cones using vintage wall papers, clip art and the rosette trick.

Things I learned from this demo:
~
1.There will always be the one who does something first then ask how to later,,,(pouring a pile of glitter then asking later if it's too much)

~
*
2. There will always be the one who takes extra's of everything even after they have completed their craft.
*
And the one that does their own technique which is great, I encourage people to add their personable touch to a craft, but when "everyone" wants to do it too and look's to me for instruction, it kind of 'bites' cause I did not plan for that technique material wise.

Monday was supposed to be my re-coop day from the weekend. I had it all planned out to go to the mall with Dyllan to find some jammies, have a nice lunch at Ruby's and maybe let him play trains at the toy shop.
~
~ It was quite possibly the worst time of my life. Dyllan whined, kicked, threw temper tantrums every which way we went. I spent 2 hours at the mall looking in every possible store. One had the jammies but not his size. Another had jammies galore at $26 each! Lunch ended up being nuggets for him and a chicken wrap for me. My sinuses kicked in on the left side of my face, ( due to the weather change) the pain was so bad, it felt like I had a toothache.
~
~We did visit the toy place to play with trains and also a kids play area where he was able to run off some steam. The only thing I bought at the mall was a $5 thanksgiving place mat from pottery barn kids.

Needing jammies since cutting off the feet from last years jammies was a temporary fix, I braved Walmart. Gotta love their $5 selection. Got him a basic Jammie set, some long pants, and a few long sleeved shirts. I also found a cape for his magician costume, a beautiful long crushed velvet cape and matching long gloves for my witch costume plus some other needed items.
*
Dyllan was fine until he saw the motorized horse for .50, I said ok. Once the ride stopped and we had to go, all toddler hell broke loose. Temper tantrum inside, outside, all the way home straight to the stroller which has a 5 point harness and locks him in place.

My hubby suggested I go somewhere to decompress. So I did. After taking 3 pain relievers, I drove to Barnes and Noble, grabbed every Somerset publication I could find, found a nice plush comfy chair and read for 2 hours. I took notes of the crafts and bought 2 new clip art books.

*
I now completely understand why my Mother, a single mom of 2 girls and a full time nurse, always ordered our clothes from the Sears catalog, even though the local sears was less than 20 minutes away.
*
*
*
And Never Again, I said to my hubby, will I EVER take Dyllan to the mall or any other retail store.
Ever.

~if you have more than 1 child and you survived, I said kudos to you. You have strength.

OMG Michelle,
You poor girl. I hear you. It does get better. I only had one, but it is enough to keep anyone on their toes. You are a good mommy!
I have that weddings book too. I love it. I hope your sinus headache is better. I get those too, especially when the weather changes. It does feel like a toothache.
Hope you are having a better day today.
Rosemary
